How we use your details

This notice explains what we do with the details you give us through this website, in plain English.
Who we are
The data controller is Modplan Ltd, trading as Nordic Garden Buildings, Imperial Building, Bridge Street, Abercarn, Newport NP11 4SB. You can contact us about anything in this notice at justin@nordicgardenequestrian.com or on 0800 160 1710.
What we collect
- When you ask for the brochure: your name, email, yard or centre name, role, and your phone number and postcode if you choose to give them.
- When you send an enquiry: your name, role, yard name, email, phone number and your message.
- If we write to or call your yard: the business name, address, phone number and published business email address we found in public directories such as the BHS and ABRS listings.
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To send you the brochure and reply to your enquiry. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract.
- To send you the occasional helpful note about garden buildings for yards, if you ticked the box. The basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To contact yard businesses about our buildings by post or phone. The basis is our legitimate interest in telling businesses about a product that may be useful to them. We check phone numbers against the Telephone Preference Service first.
- To email limited companies at the business address they publish. The basis is legitimate interest, and every email has a simple way to opt out. We don't send marketing email to sole traders or partnerships unless they've asked us to.
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of service providers (processors) who only act on our instructions:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which passes the forms on this website to our email.
- Smartlead, which we use to send and manage our emails, including unsubscribes.
- Google Workspace, which hosts our email and documents.
Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the UK's approved safeguards, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.
We never sell or rent your details.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and brochure details for up to two years from our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a customer, we keep your records for as long as we need to for the guarantee and for our legal and tax obligations. If you unsubscribe, we keep a note of your email address so that we don't contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in each email or by replying "unsubscribe". Just email justin@nordicgardenequestrian.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
